Woman buys her significant other a plant. However efforts to contact her after that go nowhere.
This is a hard film to really explain. It’s a film with some ambiguity so it’s hard to say if the film works or not simply because how you view what happens will alter how you react to the film.
What is not open to discussion is the performance by Jodi Balfour who is the whole show. She is the reason we watch the film because her emotional rollercoaster ride is simply one of the best performances you’ll see all year. Its another indication that most awards, and especially the Oscars aren’t really highlighting the best performances of the year since Shorts are not included.
