The film is a reconstuction of the demonstrations in 1999 aound the World Tradfe Organization meetings in Seattle. It is made up of on the ground footage and news coverage footage and TV news reports. The result is a trip back to 1999 when it was all going down.
While I know that some people have loved this film I was left on the outside. I was intellectually informed about everything that was going on and why, but emotionally I remained un connected. As a document of events it's the cat's pajamas but at the same time as something that made me feel history being alive, I'm not certain. I personally like to have something to connect to to make history come alive (When I was in college I had discussions with professors about do we just report events or do we make them come alive- I was a come alive guy because I felt I got more out of it.)
Definitely far from a bad film but if I clicked with it I would have rated it higher.
