Brief thoughts on DEAR MS: A Revolution in Print (2025) Tribeca 2025

Three directors take a look at the history and influence of Ms Magazine.

This a look back at the 50 year history is not a complete but a look at how the magazine changed everything that followed from society, to sex, to publishing and the work place. It's a film that has some great stories that will make you laugh and smile, and some that will make you misty.

This is a solid film that puts Ms back into the spotlight. It's a reminder of how things were and will make you wonder where we are going now that the politics in the US is marching us backward.

As good and important as the film is, there is one thing that kind of makes it frustrating and that is it's parts don't hang together fully. There is no real central through line, there is just the chapters. While they are great, I wanted to see the rest of the book because what is here is so good.

Definitely worth a look.
