This is a portrait of East Palestine Ohio after the crash. The crash was the derailment of a frieght train carrying over a million pounds of vinyl chloride which authorities said was in danger of exploding, and which they chose to burn off, causing a huge toxic plume. Authorities said it was safe and it would speed up clean up, but many people think that it in all probability poisoned the town. However the towns people came back after evacutation and this is their story.
This is a wonderful portrait of a town after the spotlight is turned off and the circus went home. Its a film that is full of life and human resilience. This is the story of a town coming together and trying to thrive.
I love the craft of this film I love the juxiposition of the images. I love the use of sound. There is magic here. Everything in it comes together to form some wonderful sequences,I love Halloween.
I loved this film. See it.
