Alicia Vikander, Victoria Pedretti and Wagner Moura star is the story of two women on the 4th of July whose lives intertwine briefly. The film is an adaption of Mrs Dallowy.
A cast to die for in a film designed to be artistic and win awards. It is a film where the look is everything.
While I loved moments of this film, I was largely unmoved by the film. It wasn't so much the story as the the craft of the film that kept me distant. I could feel the filmmakers telling me that this was an impoirtant story while they reached for their accolades.
Actually I loved the scene where Vikander and Moura meet and walk in the park and we get flash backs and implications - I want the film that was implied in that sequence.
While not bad, I don't need to see it again.
