Brief thoughts on the Big Bad Film Festival Shorts

I’m not going to do a full-on review of all of the Big Bad Film Festival shorts. It is not because they are bad, but so many of them are so short that I don’t want to give them one or two words. They films are wonderfully made. Some of them look spectacular compared to many recent big budget features. All of them were made with love.  While I love some more than others, I actually liked every single one of them.

If you can go to the screenings of the shorts, do so because they are all good.

I do want to say that all of the films longer than five minutes try to do something with their plots. The shorter films tend to be a set up that leads to a fight and a punch line.(no pun intended)

While I am not going to review all the films, I do want to point a couple out because they stood out from the very solid crowd.

KNUCKLES is a character driven film about a man trying to protect a woman. It’s a solid drama with action.

LOST IN SPICE is an amusing film about a man trying to impress the woman of his dreams by eating spicy food. It’s an amusing tale.

CHECK, PLEASE is a funny film about two guys trying to get the restaurant tab.

HAPPY COOKING is a horror action cannibal film. It’s a trip, and not for the squeamish.

Remember, while those films stood out, every other film delighted me.

By a ticket and enjoy
