Cop on the way home ends up in the middle of a highjacking.
In a word where action films out of China have been overwhelmed by the need to include propaganda it's nice to see one that isn't crushed by it. It's a nice film with good characters, solid action and a hard edge that remains to the end.
I'm not going to say a great deal on the film. A large part of the reason is that I simply enjoyed the hell out of the film. I liked it so much that when it was done I didn't want review it. Instead I just wanted to watch it again.
Is this high art? No but it is something that just delighted me. Some time just being able to say that about a film is more important than saying clever things.
The truth of the matter, this is exactly the sort of film that I return to The Big Bad FIlm Festival to see. I say that because every year they run great films that become te sort of friend that you put on over and over just because they fit like a glove. WINGS OF DREAD fits.
