Heinz Emigholz’s ECCE MOLE is glorious. I look at two location in Turin designed by Alessandro Antonelli. It’s a film of spaces that makes us feel as though we are there and seeing the spaces for ourselves.
NYFF has been running films like this for decades and I have
seen a great many of them. Some haven’t work and some have. When they work, and
when they work as well as this they are glorious films that transcend just
being a record of a place but make out souls sing.
Easily one of the best films playing this years festival
ECCE MOLE is a must
