In 1993 a young man ends up caught in the satantic panic when he is blamed for the crimes of demonic force.
This film surprised me. While the film is most certainly a horror film, there is a lot more going on. The whole satanic panic angle brings in a lot of shading that we don't normally see in most horror films of recent vintage. The notion of dark forces messing up the life of a misunderstood kid gives this film weight that many similar films doesn't have. Actually the whole satanic panic thread gives us a great deal to ponder, especially with the resurrgance of religious fundamentalism.
I liked this film a great deal, more for doing more than just being a horror film than for the scares. Yes, there are scares but I liked all the shading more.
