This is just a quick note to let you know that the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame is having their first Music Documentary Film Festival and if you on Long Island you should go. I say this because I have seen the all of the films and they are all good. Actually full disclosure I was one of the jurors picking the awards for the Feature Films.
While the film does have some films that are Long Island
centric (Harry Chapin, Hip Hop) the selection is everywhere from the West Coast
(40 Watts) to Ireland (Coming Home) and to (They All Came To) Montreux. They are all good and all worth your time.
Every film is good. Every film is full of great music. I should give you a recommended list but it's not possible because everything is so damn good. (Additionally doing so might end up causing problems since I am involved with the festival)
I should also point out that almost every screening will
have some sort of bonus content either via Q&As or musical performances.
You need to go and see these films.
