The Chain Film Festival runs August 7 to the 17th and if you are in Manhattan you need to go.
I’ve covered this festival for a couple years now and it is
is always full of great films. Take a
look at the schedule and just pick something and go. (They are doing a staged version of DEMOLITION MAN - yes really)
Actually what you want to do is pick up tickets for Steve Tsapelas' BIGFOOT CLUB and Ken Frank’s HOW I SPENT MY SUMMER VACATION which are
playing back to back on the 16th. The filmmakers should be there so you
can go talk movies with two of the most best people to talk movies with while also seeing two truly great films.
My coverage is limited because of personal things have complicated things. However you shouldn't hesitate. Buy some tickets and go.
