A nurse is kidnapped by a vampire to help tend her human son who is dying of cancer. Things become complicated when an attraction begins to form between the women.
Initially wasn't certain what I thought of this film. Some of the early moments felt like I had been here before. But then things started to turn, situations went differently. Things were not as I expected. The characters were not just well acted but better drawn than in many recent lower budgeted horror film. Most surprisingly there was a point where it becomes clear that despite the film being about vampires, this is actually about people. The vampires are just the means to dress up a character stuff and a "crime" (kidnapping) tale.
To answer the question of the title HOW FAR DOES THE DARK GO? I would say pretty damn far. This is a solid exploration of a relationship between two people and the complications that thatbrings. What was at first run of the mill ultimately stands out. This isn't just a queer story but something more.
Definitely worth a look.
