A live streamer investigating an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere finds a bunch of vintage blue jeans. Its a haul that is worth a lot of money. One of his followers convinced him that if he flies to Japan he will be able to make even more money. The guy jumps on a plane, unaware that his follower is planning on scamming him and taking the jeans to pay off a sebt to the yakuza....but the yakuza finds out and descides to take the jeans for themselves.
While the humor and the horror don't always mix, this is for the most part a wicked little thrill machine. This is a film of escalating insanity that keeps you watching because you will want to see how this plays out. Odds are you will be like me and have a blast seeing this.
A kind of word of warning, this film has a very busy style. Split screens, multiple angles and images mix with computer and phone screens to make a film with a lot of information both visual and aural being thrown at you. Normally I would tend to shy away with a film that hs such a busy form, but here it all works.
What a wonderful blood soaked delight.
Recommeneded.
