This is a look at the rise of Canadian politician Brian Mulroney the 18th Prime Minister. Its a look culled from existing footage repurposed into a satrical collage.
I really liked this film a great deal. Even though I am not Canadian and only have a fleeting familiarity with Mulroney, I had a good time. There is something about the way that all of the footage is assembled that pulls you in and drags you along. Its wonderfully politically incorrect with an insistance of spearing no one and taking no prisoners.
You will smile.
Of course if you are Canadian and know Mulroney then you are going to get more out of this and smile wider.
I had a good time.
