This is a solid portrait of rock legend Eddie Cochran. Made up of interviews and diary entries it charts the brief but incredibly influential guitarist.
Telling Cochran’s story through the words of the man himself as well as family, friends, and the people he influenced, DON'T FORGET ME makes a case as to why we need to celebrate the man more than we do. Cochran was doing his thing from when he was a teenager when he worked as a session musician. But the spotlight called him and he answered. Its sad that his life was cut short at such an early age.
This is a solid documentary whose only flaw is that the telling is a tad too conventional. I would have like something a tad more flashy considering that Cochran changed music in his wake.
Quibble aside. This film is recommended, doubly so for music fans.
