Filmmaker Carol Nguyen and her family come together and try to figure out what exactly happened to her uncle several years earlier when his darknes over took him. It’s the story of a family trying to cope with the destruction that mental illness and cause in a family.
I know that there have been a number of similar films over the years, and I know that some of this is going to make you wonder where this is going and why are we being told this tale, but the truth is there is a point probably about a third of the way in where things click. What seems like something we’ve seen before suddenly changes and we are now seeing things with a new set of eyes, This is not just your typical tale of the loss of a family member, but something greater.
I was moved. In the end i was left without words.
