SALÓN DE BELLEZA (2026) Venice 2026

In an unnamed city, a  man opens his beauty shop to those people who are dying while he attends to his aquariums... or something.

I absolutely know that synopsis is terrible. The trouble is this film is so tight lipped and so etherial and so its own thing that the only way to know if you are going to click with the film is to actually see it.

To be honest I don't know if you are going to like this film. Hell I don't know if I like the film. Deliberately paced (the first six minutes are seen from the inside of a fish tank) this film moves at a speed of its own. There is narration, but it only partly explains things. The film moves backwards and forward through time or perhaps in and out of reality, I'm not sure.

This is a grand puzzle box of a film that many people are going to give up on.

Is there a resolution or a revelation? That all depends upong the viewer. Say what you will this is a film where you are going to have to bring a great deal to the table.

This is going to be a film you either love or fall asleep to.
