Filmed version of the award winning musical HADESTOWN. The film is the story of Orpheus, Eurydice, Persephone and Hades moved up to a semi modern time in some alternate place.
As this posts I've seen the Broadway production twice and I'm working on seeing it a third time. I adore this show. With that in mind I went into the film version hoping that it was going to do the show justice.
It does. It gave me goose bumps.
This is wonderful. It maybe the best version of a stage play that I've seen.
This is coming to theaters in July. See it.
