Full Circle: The First All Black Everest Ascent (2026) Tribeca 2026

This is one of the bst documentaries I've ever seen on EVerest. It is one of the best films at Tribeca and one of the best films of 2026. You need to see this on the big screen if possible.

I can't say enough good about this film.

This is a glorious portrait of people who decide the climb Mount Everest and change history. Up until this expedition almost no black people had ever climbed the mountain. The film explains why that is. Phil Henderson, the team leader, wants to put aside any doubts and takes great pains to make sure that his team gets up and back alive

This is the first film that explains just how difficult and dangerous it is to climb the mountain. It does it more clearly than any other film. It does it not by telling us what is happening, but by showing us. We see the issue with lack of oxygen, we see why if you can't climb if you aren't strong enough, we truly see the traffic jams on the mountain that risk everyone's lives and we see what happens when illness takes you down. We see all the dangers and we see the effects and it changes how we see the mountain and how those who climb and it makes us even more impressed.

I was so blown away by the film I was moved to tears. I was moved because of the achievement and I was moved because for the first time I understood how miraculous it is to climb and to get home alive it is.

I'm sorry I have no words, this movie movied me beyond them.

A must see.
