Filmmaker Tony Kaye's mea culpa about the mess that happened around the editting of his film AMERICAN HISTORY X.
Mostly a collection of the video footage Kaye shot while he was trying to stall the release of his debut film. Its a wild portrait of a man who was far off the rails and going even farther. Kaye comes off as a complete lunatic. Its like watching a slow motion car accident.
Is it any good?
I have no idea. Its a wild ride that says a great deal about how Hollywood works, and it has some great and wise things, but it's all over the place.
If you want something off hollywood about Hollywood give the film a shot.
