If you ever wanted to be James Bond this film might change your mind. THE OTHER FELLOW Is a look at all the guys in the world who carry the name of James Bond and how it effected their lives. It’s a funny and bracing look at the men who are not the world’s best secret agent.
There isn’t much I can say about this film, but it’s an absolute delight. It’s a light hearted look at the pain of sharing the name of the coolest man in cinema. What I love about the film is all of the different ways the film effected people. There are the parents who thought their kids would be fine, after the first film, because everyone would have forgotten the movie, and the gay theater director who flummoxed the newspaper reporter who was looking for a real life womanizing counterpart in New York. There are many many others as well and all of them delightful.
What a joy.
It doesn’t matter if you like the Bond films or not, you just have to know about one of the most famous fictional characters in the world.
A must see.
