A look at the life and times of Rock Hudson as a closeted gay man in Hollywood.
This is a very good look at Hudson and his personal life. Pulling no punches, the film will reveal things that you may or may not want to know, it is a film that humanizes the Hollywood icon. By the time you get to the end of the film you are going to feel as if you know Hudson like a friend.
I am going to be curious how this film plays with people. I wanted to see the human side of Hudson, but I'm curious how those who grew up with him as a great hetero symbol will take it. Will this film change how they see him? It doesn't matter of course, Rock Hudson is long dead and his closeted life is now a matter of record.
I really liked this film a great deal. If you want to see what was happening behind the scenes of old Hollywood, this film is recommended
