Unless you are Christian Nationalist BAD FAITH is going to make you ill. This portrait about how the far right is pushing for theocracy based on their warped reading of history is truly frightening. Their drive to take over America and push their agenda is truly chilling.
I don’t know what to say. I’ve been seeing a large number of similar films over the last few years but none as complete and in your face as this film. Laying out exactly what is happening and why, this film makes it clear that the movement will do what ever it can to get its way – after all it is selling serial adulterer, alleged rapist, con man, failed business man, bigot and narcissist Donald Trump as a good man of god. Clearly they are willing to make a deal with the devil because they think it will bring them closer to glory. This is the whole story of a bunch of self serving jerks doing whatever it takes to get their way.
As great as this film is it suffers from one key problem that all similar films has which is no one who needs to see the film will ever see it. Anyone who might have their mind changed won’t watch it because it doesn’t fit into the echo chamber. The only people who will see it are those already opposed to the nationalists.
That said, this is a vital and an important film people need to see because they need to be warned about the hateful tidal wave coming this way.
