A boy named Blue and a girl named Red live in an isolated home. Everything they need is given to them. A robotic father called papa stays behind a lock door. One day, one similar to Christmas, they are given a androgenous person who doesn't speak to take care of. This causes a rift between the brother and sister.
This is a good, if unremakable science fiction tale. It's a film that keeps us interested for a good chunk of it as we try and figure out where this is going. The problem is that there is a point where anyone who has spent too many hour in the dark watching movies or reading science fiction tales, realizes that the film wasn't going to do anything new. We've seen variations of this story before. It's not bad but it isn't special.
I liked the film in the end, despite loving some early pieces. That's enough to say if the film sounds interesting, give it a shot.
