Nightflower (2025) Japan Cuts 2026

A mother on the run from debt meets up with a woman who kick boxes and forms a family that tries to be normal by day while dealing drugs at night.

A dark drama about finding the people you need while dealing with the darker side of life. This is a beautifully acted and perfectly made film that keeps us on edge for the characters while making us fall in love with the people on the screen.

This film is an absolute gem. This is exactly the sort of film I started Unseen FIlms to highlight, a film that is so much better than its write up would suggest. This is absolutely a film you need to see at Japan Cuts because it is going to haunt you long after other bigger films have faded.

Just be prepared to be put through the ringer.
