A young boy who can't speak after being abused by his father, grows up watching how bad things happen to the people he loves as he tries to stop the cycle.
You are either going to love this exercise in pain and misery or you are not. Shot in realistic style that makes us feel the pain this is a film where bad things happen to good people - particularly mom. Its a film that wants to show us that life is pain.
I disconnected. Not so much because it was bad, but because I never had the feeling that this was going anywhere. Perhaps my tolerence for pain and suffering is not as high these days, but I would have walked away if I wasn't covering this for Japan Cuts.
