A quick note about DOC NYC posts

I spent last few evenings trying to schedule most of the reviews that I have done for DOC NYC and I realized, as I realize every year, that there are simply too many pieces with too many embargoes or lack of embargoes that it's nigh impossible to do eveything for everyone. As a result I've posted things according to the following rules:

1- Almost every review will post after the the first screening. This is because most of the films have  an embargo and its easier to do it that way. The films without embargoes ended up lost  if I didn't do it that way either having to post too many days early or in roughly the same slot.

The exceptions are films where I reposted the review or some of the opening day reviews.

2- I will post reviews of everything I was sent. If I was sent it- it's getting reviewed and will appear after the first screening (see above).

3- Some of the reviews are running over 24 hours later. The simple reason is I can not post more than one review  at a time or it will get lost. As a rule I do not like to post reviews with anything less than 3 hours between them otherwise they get lost-there are so many films for DOC NYC that there are times where I am running reviews every 90 minutes. This means the review is up - but it's going to bump off the top of the page quickly and will get lost in the crush of reviews.

4- This is a repost of number two-every film I was sent is getting a review-so be patient. I know many of you are going to be looking for your one or two films, but I am looking at a hundred or so, just know its coming.
