The following are some brief thoughts on the films from this collection that were sent to me for review. If the film is not included I was not sent the film.
DO YOU SEE HER?
When a young woman takes off her glasses she sees a figure coming towards her. This is a solid little gem and the perfect way to start this collection of films
DONATIONS
In a world where blood is currency a man must decide how much to donate to follow his ex. A suitably uncomfortable allegory about how we try to remain connected to the people who have left out lives.
THE SPIDER
A young Woman goes to meet her birth mom on Halloween. A good, if a bit too obvious tale.
SWEETIE
a young girl gets her dad about the monster under her bed- awesome- just awesome. It's three minutes and I can't say more
NICKY NINE DOORS
Someone is knocking on an office door. I'm not sure what the title means but the film proves why we should never open the door
FIRST RITES
A young woman looking for answers turns to the recently deceased. A good little horror film about what some will do to get a little bit of knowledge.
TIME EATER
A baby sitting grand mother with dementia must deal with something terrible. A good little film that works best as an allegory about the loss of ourselves then as a straight horror film.
HAMMER WRENCH SCREEWDRIVER
A young man returning tools, finds himself in a situation which just gets more and more wrong-and deadly. Very good little nightmare that isn't that far off from happening.
IMMORTAL EMBRACE
A daughter has to deal with having been turned int a vampire and is supported by her mom. The connection between family is nicely revealed in a dark time.
