This is a solid look at the work of a man who has reduced the need for amputations in his area of Mississippi by 88% by giving treatment that looks to prevent the need for limb removal by care before the fact and by seeing if there is another way to treat the patient. As someone with diabetes the possibility of limb loss was made clear to me at the start, which is why I am in constant contact with my doctors.
With diabetes on the rise and the number of people with the arterial disease getting younger this is a film that is a good warning about the dangers that many may face.
