I should mention that they aren't mafia families, but people who have control of the best spots in the city during Christmas time. They aren't the only game in town, and we see what happens when someone opens up across the street form one of their stands.
I liked this film. It's an interesting story about something I run across every year on all my trips into the city. Honestly, I probably would have liked this a lot more had I viewed it closer to Christmas rather than a couple of days after Halloween.
If you are feeling in the holiday spirit and want to know about something you probably never considered, I recommend MERCHANTS OF JOY.
