Ondi Timoner show what happened to herself and the people from her neighborhood after the Eaton fire effectively erased their homes and everything they own earlier this year.
This is a good film documenting what happened in the moment. This is a you are there in the minute look at what happened, whose pawer in its revealing look at how the support and aide people aqre getting depends in part on what color their skin is. It's something that is very eye opening.
My feelings toward the film are mixed. I love that this is a report that is in the minute. However I think the film is hurt by the lack of distance. Timoner is beyond close to this story and we can see the wounds. There were several times over the course of the film where I got the sense that if the film was made a a few months later it would have been presented differently.
Quibble aside, this is a good little film, that's worth a look.
