DEATH OF A UNICORN
A man and his daughter on the way to visit his boss, ends up hitting a unicorn with his car. This leads to mayhem when the unicorn's parents come looking for revenge.
Solid dark fantasy/ comedy is entertaining, if unremarkable. Talk earlier in the year of it being one of the best films of the year didn't pan out in my eyes, but I still had good time. My only complaint is that the CGI effects aren't that good.
K POP DEMON HUNTERS
Amusing animated film about a K-Pop trio who fight demons with their music.
This is a mega hit that is loved by millions. I like it. It's not so much that it's bad, more that it's so prepackaged and formulaic that part of the fun is gone because you know how exactly how its going to go. If this wasn't so formulaic I would have loved this.
APOCALYPSE IN THE TROPICS
Is a look at how the religious far right took over Brazil. It is a tale being mirrored in the United States. This is a really good film that is going to rattle your cage. I'm not quite sure it's the barn burner that some have labeled it but at the same time it is a cautionary tale we need to pay attention to
