Continents Quiver as Memories Erupt into Earthflames (2019) Camden International Film Festival 2019

Personal essay film that is like reading random journal entries from the director. It is a mix of aphorisms, diary entries, discussion of Alan Moore’s run on Swamp Thing, random thoughts, half formed thoughts, full formed ideas and other things mixed with various images that may or may not relate to what we are seeing.

This is a dizzyingly delightful short that needs to be seen big and in the dark. I say this because I’m guessing this film will have a long life after its festival run and if you end up seeing this streaming you’ll want to try and see it on the biggest screen possible. I absolutely loved this film and fell into it and I loved the head space it created- one that required me to fill in the blanks, connect up things and add the next line after some ellipses.

This is a stunner and a must see.
