In Brief: Seahorse (2019) Tribeca 2019

Trans man Freddy McConnell would very much like to start a family. Deciding that the easiest way to do that would be to carry the baby himself, he stops taking testosterone and takes steps to make it happen.

SEAHORSE is  fascinating film that I am going to be pondering for a long time. Raising questions concerning gender identity, notions of family and one's view of self the film quietly gets us thinking whether we want to or not.

To be honest I am so lost in thought about the film that I kind of don't want to review the film until I work out how exactly how I feel about every bit of it. However after several days of pondering and not finding an answer, I'm not going to wait any longer and simply put this short piece up and say that if you want a thought provoking doc that will hang with you for days, see SEAHORSE.
