Lapsis (2020) Hits VOD Today

In the new gig economy a man struggling to get money to keep his brother alive, takes a job stringing cable across the country for the new Quantum computer system.

Dark commentary is hidden in this science fiction tale about capitalism, the need for new technology and the herd mentality.  More polemic then a compelling tale I found myself agreeing with what the film was trying to say despite not really caring about what was happening on screen. While the film is well made everything is subsumed to making the point that makes us go "ah', with the result that the plot doesn’t always make a hell of a lot of sense internally (I kept wanting to stop the film ask writer director Noah Hutton why he did certain things)

A miss.
