This is a look at how deaf and hearing impaired people have to fight and struggle to get access to interpreters and subtitling.
Good and very important film about something we don’t usually think about, how people with hearing difficulties can enjoy the entertainment we take for granted. As one comedian says early in the film, sure they can watch the film with subtitles on the internet or TV but how could they do it at a live performance. The answers will open your eyes.
To be honest this is a hard film to review. It’s less something artistic and instead is a vital statement of where we are and what we need to do. There aren’t artistic merits, simply required statements. It’s a film we will not watch for any sort of gratification, but instead because we care about our fellow human beings and want to know how best to help them.
This isn’t to say the film is bad or not entertaining, rather its simply to say this is a film with more important things on its mind and those are what remain with you
