Ariela Rubin's brief thoughts on SISTERS ON TRACK (2021) Tribeca 2021

Sisters on Track is a documentary about three sisters who are on the track team at their junior high school.

The documentary follows them as they begin living in an apartment after being in a shelter for two years. It shows them navigate puberty, boys, school, home life, applying to high schools, prom, graduation and through injuries. It shows them talking about their hopes and dreams.

This doc didn't really hold my interest and it took me a while to watch it all. I was rooting for these girls and wish them and their single mom success, but I guess I just wasn't that interested, it didn't grab my attention. I think maybe it would have been better as a short.
