Esther in Wonderland is a short, made by a female director Stephanie Bolla((who also co-wrote and co-produced it), about a young Hasidic woman who's husband is hoping she gets pregnant soon. Meanwhile she's going out and hanging out with a group of breakdancers.
I know we've seen it before. Hasidic stories of people living double lives, but this one I felt was unique and different.
I loved it, but it was too short! (13 mins) I am really hoping they turn this into a full length feature. I definitely feel like there's enough of a story to be able to do that!
(Another one I watched with my parents, who also really liked it!)
