Ariela Rubin on Liza Anonymous (2021) Tribeca 2021

LIZA ANONYMOUS  is a short about a girl who creates different personas in order to go to different support groups. Gamblers anonymous, alcoholics anonymous, sex addicts anonymous and more. In each one she wears different outfits, speaks differently and has a different personality.

This is a short about feeling lonely and wanting to fit in.

It's just 12 minutes long, but I absolutely loved it! It even made me teary.

(Side note: I actually watched it with my parents, who also really enjoyed it!)

What's also really cool about this film is that it's led by an all women team: writer, director, producer & director of photography.

My only critique is that I wish it were longer!
