DOC NYC Shorts- HUNTSVILLE STATION and MIZUKO

Here are two films being short listed as possible Oscar contenders

HUNTSVILLE STATION
Portrait of the parles waiting at the Huntsville Greyhound bus station after being released from prison.
Excellent slice of life of men in the moment of change in their lives as they wait to move on to the next thing. Running a brief 15 minutes this film could easily be expanded, however I am completely happy with this perfect little film.

MIZUKO
A beautiful, thoughtful and moving film about a woman coming to terms about her decision regarding abortion and the thoughts and memories it kicks up.
A stunningly made film that rightly has been bounced around as a potential Oscar contender. It is a work of art in addition to being a powerful piece of cinema.
